Suit Costume Technology

2014

In this project, a suit jacket and skirt were constructed, sewn, and calculated. The costume was tailored for my coursemate.

The primary aim of the project was to understand the technology and pattern of a jacket with a lining, collar, and pockets. Additionally, for the skirt, the lining was considered essential.

The secondary aim of the project was to manage the technological sewing and finishing order to find the optimal work operation times.

Jacket: 42 work operations and 57 minutes
Skirt: 23 work operations and 32.3 minutes

By knowing separate work operations, unified work operations were generated and put into theoretical technological practice when a factory had 25 workers and an order for 500 garments.
